This Guidance Note is intended to support life-saving appliances (LSA) manufacturers, shipowners, shipyards and the flag state administrations in dealing with the approval of alternative design and arrangements for LSAs. NI560 provides the regulatory framework and put forward effective solutions to implement the approval process consistently.
