EEXI Timeline

To reduce carbon emissions from shipping, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is taking steps to improve the energy efficiency of ships and lower fuel consumption. The Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) is one of these measures, and it comes into force on January 1, 2023.
