CII is an essential step towards achieving the International Maritime Organization's decarbonization targets and reducing the marine industry's overall environmental impact. The Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) is an IMO regulation that requires ships over 5,000 GT to report on carbon emissions from their operations. The CII helps ship managers to understand their carbon footprint and make informed decisions about how to reduce it.
