Mar. 13 2026

Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) and Winning International Group have reached a significant milestone in their long-standing partnership, celebrating successful collaboration on 150 vessels. To mark the occasion, a BV delegation led by Drago Pinteric, Vice President, M&O South East Asia, together with members of the BV China and Singapore team, visited Winning International Group in Singapore for discussions on industry developments and future cooperation.

Sun Zhijun, Vice President of Winning International Group, and his team warmly welcomed the delegation. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on market dynamics and the shipping industry’s ongoing green transition, while reaffirming both parties’ commitment to deeper collaboration.

During the visit, the teams held technical exchanges on key industry topics. BV shared insights on the large bulk carrier market, fleet decarbonization performance, compliance pathways, as well as its classification and value-added services.

With the International Maritime Organization (IMO) introducing increasingly stringent environmental regulations, both sides explored how shipowners can strategically plan their fleets’ green transition and long-term compliance through improved energy efficiency and the adoption of alternative fuels. Drawing on its global experience and technical expertise, BV supports partners across the vessel lifecycle, from newbuilding design to fleet operations.

During the strategic dialogue, both parties reviewed their long-standing cooperation. Drago Pinteric expressed appreciation for Winning International Group’s continued trust and support, and discussed opportunities to further strengthen their strategic partnership in response to evolving industry challenges.

Sun Zhijun acknowledged BV’s professional services and highlighted its important role in supporting the successful operation of Winning’s Simandou logistics activities. He noted that as the shipping industry accelerates its transition toward greater energy efficiency, decarbonization and digitalization, close strategic cooperation between shipowners and classification societies is more important than ever.

The meeting concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with representatives from both organizations exchanging commemorative gifts. The Singapore visit not only celebrated a key milestone in the BV-Winning partnership but also reinforced their alignment on future strategic priorities.

Building on a strong foundation of trust, BV and Winning International will continue to advance their collaboration toward a more sustainable, efficient and resilient maritime future.
