Bureau Veritas has longstanding experience classing FPSOs. We have drawn on this knowledge to create a comprehensive set of dedicated Rules to ensure compliance for our clients. We provide classification expertise for both new units and conversions. Our surveyors are increasingly using advanced inspection techniques involving drones and in-house software trained by AI to improve data collection and analysis.

CONVERSION OF VESSELS TO FPSOs
We provide Condition Assessment Program (CAP) assessments prior to conversion of vessels to FPSOs. Through our subsidiary Bureau Veritas Solutions, we provide full project management including safety and risk management, coordination with ship staff, appointment of contractors, documentation control and cost efficiency guidance.
