LUXEMBOURG - INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHIPS SAILING OR ANCHORING IN THE AREA OF THE STRAITS OF HORMUS

The Administration of Luxembourg ("Commissariat aux Affaires Maritimes") has issued the below Circular CAM 002/2019 giving instructions for ships sailing or anchoring in the area of the straits of Hormus.

Although Luxembourg flagged vessels are not supposed to be specifically targeted, Masters and SSO are requested to take due diligence when trading in these coastal areas. At this time the ISPS security level remains at level 1 but it is recommended that Masters operate their vessel as if at level 2.

All incidents shall be reported to local authorities and to the UKMTO at +44 239 22 22 060.

Ships should pass the Strait of Hormuz as fast as possible
